HELLO!
I'm Sarah and I'm an award-winning actor, voice artist, facilitator and creative based in Glasgow. I'm a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (BA Acting) and have worked across the UK and beyond.
What I do...
As an actor, I've worked in theatre, screen, radio and voiceover. My highlights include performing in a multi-award winning West End show and winning a BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award. I have a real passion for physical theatre and movement based performance, as well as professional experience and training as an aerial artist (silks, hoop, trapeze, rope and harness). I also have a broadcast quality home recording studio for voiceover work with experience in corporate, commercial, ADR and more, and clients including BBC Scotland, BBC Radio 3 and the Scottish Government. You can have a nosey at my full acting credits here.
As a creative, my roles have included writing, directing and
movement direction. I am the Artistic Director of The Audio Story Company - a pioneering new company where we create unique and exciting audio-immersive experiences and live performances for young people and family audiences. The work I've created with The Audio Story Company has been seen internationally and you can read more about that work here.
As a facilitator, I've worked with people of all ages in professional, community and educational settings. I am also a Clowndoctor Practitioner with the charity Hearts & Minds, using therapeutic clowning in healthcare and educational settings.
I am passionate about creative projects that:
✷ are immersive and excitingly theatrical
✷ explore movement and physical storytelling
✷ engages with communities and underserved audiences
✷ make art more accessible
✷ play with different artforms and technologies
I am always interested in:
✷ acting projects - wether stage, screen or voiceover. I've had lots of experience in developments and R&Ds and I’ve even dabbled in video game and motion capture!
✷ directing; my experience is predominantly in theatre, but I'd love to expand into screen, too.
✷ movement direction; I’m super passionate about physicality & storytelling and helping performers to feel comfortable in their bodies.
✷ facilitation - I’ve designed and led workshops and creative projects in a range of settings.
✷ potential collaborators - get in touch if you'd like to chat!
"The real revelation here is newcomer Miele, who gives a performance of heartbreaking nuance that more than matches the more experienced talent onstage."
Exeunt Magazine
"Sarah Miele is exceptionally good as sickly Autumn, with both youth and frailty superbly evoked"
All Edinburgh Theatre
"Miele, in particular, gives an affecting performance as the dying, but unsentimental Autumn; more than one audience member could be seen quickly wiping their eyes after her final monologue."
The Wee Review
"Best of all is Sarah Miele’s wraith-like Autumn."
